What is a chiropractic adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment is a controlled force applied by hand or instrument to a joint that has lost normal movement. Restoring that movement reduces pain, eases the muscle guarding around the joint and improves range of motion. It is non-invasive, drug-free, and takes only a second or two per joint.
Chiropractic adjustments are a core chiropractic technique that involves the application of controlled force to the spine and other joints to realign them and alleviate pain and other symptoms. At our chiropractic practice, we offer safe and effective chiropractic adjustments to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness.
Whether you are experiencing back pain, neck pain, headaches, or other musculoskeletal issues, chiropractic adjustments may be able to help. During an adjustment, our experienced chiropractors will use their hands or specialized instruments to apply a quick, controlled force to the affected joint, which can help improve range of motion, reduce pain, and enhance overall function.
Chiropractic adjustments are a non-invasive, drug-free approach to treating musculoskeletal conditions. They are safe for patients of all ages and can be customized to meet the unique needs and preferences of each patient. At our practice, we take the time to get to know each patient and develop a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs and goals.
In addition to providing chiropractic adjustments, our practice offers a range of complementary therapies to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness. From myofascial release to therapeutic exercises, mechanical traction, and more, we are committed to providing comprehensive care that addresses the root cause of our patients’ conditions.
If you are experiencing pain or other symptoms related to a musculoskeletal condition, chiropractic adjustments may be able to help. Contact our office today to schedule an appointment and experience the benefits of expert chiropractic care.

Common questions
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?
Most patients feel relief rather than pain. The adjustment itself takes about a second and is usually painless, though an area that is already inflamed can be tender. Some people notice mild soreness for a day afterwards, much like muscles feel after exercise.
What is the popping sound during an adjustment?
It is gas releasing from the fluid inside the joint as pressure changes, not bones cracking or moving out of place. The sound is harmless and is not a measure of whether the adjustment worked. Several techniques we use produce no sound at all.
How many adjustments will I need?
It depends mostly on how long the problem has been there. Recent injuries often settle in a few visits, while long-standing problems take longer because the surrounding muscles have adapted around them. We give you an honest estimate after examining you rather than committing you to a long plan up front.
Is chiropractic adjustment safe?
For the great majority of patients, yes, and serious complications are rare. What makes it safe is the examination beforehand: some conditions call for a gentler technique, and a few call for a referral instead of treatment. That is why we assess before we treat.
